Ego

On this page, I strut my poetic stuff, sharing news I’m happy about. (Just in case you’re wondering, my name, Sibylle, is pronounced with a beginning “z” sound, all short vowels, and the accent on the second syllable, Zih-BIH-leh.)

I received this review from Anita Michalkiewicz: “I love following your thoughts and snippets of life through your blog. It’s always a real pleasure to read. Images swing into my mind like brief thoughts, sharply implanted into my mind! The power of targeted simplicity!”

Thanks Anita. Readers, I hope you’ll take note that Anita is quite the artist. Visit her blog and the website devoted to her art and photos to find out more.

August 18, 2014—Published in Literary Anthology
I’ve just heard that I’m about to be published, in a literary anthology called Storied Wheels.

I’m a member of the Society of the Muse of the Southwest (aka SOMOS). SOMOS put out a call a while back for stories about road trips. I entered my haiku, “drive”, and it was selected for inclusion in Storied Wheels.

My understanding is that sales of the final book will help SOMOS in its fundraising efforts. I’ll post a notice here when the book becomes available.

The first of my daily haiku was published via Google’s Blogger platform. I eventually closed that blog down because maintaining two almost identical blogs proved to be more work than interested me.
